Silvana has an extensive background in the restaurant and food industry. Her family had one of Tasmania’s first licensed restaurants, Quigley’s for nearly 30 years and after growing up around the business, Silvana then ventured into her own with Taurian’s Restaurant in picturesque Battery Point, Hobart in the early 90’s.
She left Tasmania in the mid-nineties to further her food journey and worked in restaurants, specialty food retailing and distribution across three states of Australia.
Before returning to Tasmania, she worked as Retail Manager at Melbourne’s iconic The Essential Ingredient at Prahran Market. In 2009 she started Savour Foods & then their retail store, Truckle & Co in Hobart in 2011, where she could share the secrets and food knowledge she had garnered.
Now owner & Managing Director of Savour Foods, Silvana & her team are supplying Tasmania’s finest restaurants, Hotels & food retailers.
