Lily Alcock is a contemporary movement artist born and based in Lutruwita/Tasmania. After graduating from Ev&Bow Full-time Training in 2021, Lily has continued to undertake diverse freelance work with the likes of Assembly197/Tasdance, MONA, Second Echo Ensemble, Lina Limosani, Paulina Quinteros, and Lux Eterna. Most recently, Lily was the recipient of the 2024 Annie Greig Scholarship supported by Arts Tasmania, where she undertook 6 months of International Professional Development at Kalakeli Arts in Goa, India, the B12 Mavericks Program in Berlin, Ferus Animi//Terra Nova Summer Movement Camp in Lake Como, and Jacob Jonas The Company X ATE9 Intensive and Performance in Los Angeles.
Lily’s creative practice is centred around inquiring further into the internal kinaesthetic sensations and external physicality of what movement is produced when in flow. Specifically, through integrating breakdance pathways with contemporary floorwork, engaging in diverse community spaces, undertaking architectural explorations, and researching into the somatic healing modalities of movement.
